The national deep seabed exploration and development platform was launched, and CIMC Raffles participated in the tripartite joint construction

A few days ago, the signing and opening ceremony for the deep seabed exploration and development platform of the Pilot National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology (Qingdao) was held at CIMC Marine Engineering Academe in Yantai. The Pilot National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology (Qingdao), Yantai Municipal People’s Government and Yantai CMIC Raffles Offshore Ltd. signed the Cooperation Agreement for Co-Construction of the Deep Seabed Exploration and Development Platform of the Pilot National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology (Qingdao) and unveil a plaque for the platform.

It is understood that the deep seabed exploration and development platform aims to support and serve the overall process of research and development of marine engineering equipment in China, improve the development level of earth science of China, ensure energy safety of China, and practically safeguard national maritime rights and interests. The platform is a powerful measure to gather the superior forces of all parties, promote the implementation of the old-to-new driver transition strategy in Shandong Province, and support the development of Yantai as a famous offshore engineering equipment city. It is also a practical measure to thoroughly implement the “management of ocean environments” proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping, his important speech and instructions during his tour in Shandong.

CIMC Raffles will support the research team of the Pilot National Laboratory for Marine Science and Technology (Qingdao) in carrying out relevant research work by using the platform facilities, and will undertake the task of platform construction and operation.
