The 8th Harvard Business Review China Annual Conference was held in Beijing a few days ago. At the same time, the results of the “‘2021 Dingge Award’ Digital Transformation Pioneer List”, which has garnered considerable industry interest, were released. CIMC Container’s digital supply chain transformation project came to the fore from more than 400 projects and won the “Dingge Award-Annual Supply Chain Transformation Model Award”. State Grid, COMAC, Sinotrans, and GAC Group also made to the list of the “Dingge Award”.

Harvard Business Review has a broad range of influence in the global management and business field. The “Dingge Award”, as famous as the Ram Charan Management Practice Award, is co-hosted by three industry leaders, i.e., the Chinese edition of Harvard Business Review, Institute for Global Industry, Tsinghua University, and SAP. This year’s awards are themed on “Rapids · Leap” to select digital transformation pioneers, assisting businesses in leapfrogging ahead in the rapids of digitalization.

As the world’s leading container manufacturing company, CIMC has built a digital supply chain system based on the industrial Internet and big data models. Additionally, it opened up the entire process of demand, procurement, production, and delivery with digital and intelligent means, charting the course for an era in which the container supply chain and manufacturing step up from traditional large-scale standardization to large-scale customization, serving as a successful model for B2B companies attempting to overcome supply chain transformation challenges brought about by the intelligent transformation of manufacturing and the application of innovative technologies.

Zeng Han stated that CIMC would continue to promote digital transformation projects across the group, keep on building a digital supply chain, and persistently blaze out a road to digital transformation for the future. Under the guidance of “manufacturing + service + finance”, CIMC will continue to promote the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing business and cement and enhance its position in the industry. At the same time, following the strategic directions of peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality, rural vitalization, and expanding domestic demand, CIMC will expand resource input, actively broaden market opportunities for emerging businesses, create more social value for the country, and contribute higher business value to customers.
