CIMC Raffles and Wallenius Sign Contract For 2+2+2 Next Generation Low Emission Vehicle Carriers

CIMC Raffles has signed a contract with Swedish shipping giant Wallenius Lines online, which involves the manufacture of 2+2+2 next-generation 6,500 dual-fuel vehicle carriers. CEO and President of CIMC Raffles Wang Jianzhong and Chairman and CEO of Soya Group and Wallenius Lines Kleberg Jonas signed the contract on behalf of the two sides, and the management teams and project teams of both sides witnessed together. This is the second cooperation between the two parts on the basis of the previous good cooperation, and will further enhance the competitiveness of CIMC Raffles in the field of international roll-on-roll-off ship. The above-mentioned project will be built at the CIMC Raffles Longkou plant, which has the first intelligent production line for roll-on-roll-off ships and special ships based on laser composite welding equipment in China.

During the implementation of the project, the CIMC Raffles project team has overcome challenges such as international epidemics and worked closely with the Wallenius project team. They have been fully recognized by Wallenius for their lean project management and advanced design and construction capabilities. The mutual trust between the two sides has been continuously deepened, laying a solid foundation for further in-depth cooperation.
